(More customer reviews)These clever toys are cute and amazingly detailed. While no toy can duplicate the Pokemon ball, this is as close as it's going to get. The ball has a strap that the child wears to keep the ball from flying across the room. When they throw the ball, the little stuffed Pokemon inside pops out and lands nearby. The plush toy is very light so it won't break anything or hurt anyone when it flies out. The range on the strap is short so there's also very little risk of the ball hurting anyone or hitting anything nearby, even when used indoors (which is where ours are always used). I have a 15, 7, and 3 year old and all three have used these toys without damaging the house, each other or the toys.
An added bonus: My kids discovered that other small, light plush toys (such as Beanie Babies and small Giant Microbes) can fit inside these Pokeballs, so the fun doesn't stop at just the plush that came with the ball. Lots of fun and a great accessory for a kid who wants to pretend to be a Pokemon trainer. When paired with the talking Pokedex I got from Amazon, it's a whole new world here in Pokemonland!
