(More customer reviews)Ampharos is an amazing card - possibly even the best of HGSS's Rares! Acceleration Bolt is amazing because it can either set up Ampharos or another Pokemon. Even if you don't decide to use it to power up Ampharos, Thunder can still take advantage of DCE (Double Colorless Energy), and it's not that bad of an attack. Good 120 HP and Retreat of 1 allow Ampharos to annoy your opponent for a while before safely switching out. But back to Acceleration Bolt. There are numerous cards that could take advantage of this - Typhlosion Prime, Raichu... basically anything that needs two or more energy to attack. The possibilities are endless... there is an obscene number of Electric types that need energy to burn. Just watch out for the Fighting Weakness - Donphan Prime can KO it with one Earthquake.
