(More customer reviews)With a free retreat and cheap attacks, the whole point of Raichu is to get in and get out fast. Iron Tail is risky, and should only be used in a very dire situation. Thunderbolt is great - it is a strong hit that can KO many Pokemon, and can AKO (Almost Knock-Out) an Expert Belt-toting Gyarados. That's pretty good for a mouse. One combination for this card is Conductive Quarry. Assuming that you have Energy in your hand, there is a 50% chance that you can be doing 100 damage. If those odds don't suit you, use something such as Energy Pickup to boost the odds. Even if you don't pull off a Thunderbolt, remember that Raichu has a free retreat. Probably the biggest issue with Raichu is that he doesn't have a reliable attack in case you don't want to discard the energy. Other than that, he's a fine choice for an Electric deck.
